Silent running electric motor by viscoelastic bearing supports

چکیده
A good agreement is obtained between experiment and hybrid calculation. Due to structural modelling inaccuracies, the full numerical prediction shows some deviations. However, it appears that a simple BEM model is capable of predicting the general acoustic behaviour of a complex vibrating structure. A sound reduction, specifically in the high frequency range, is obtained with a viscoelastic bearing support as illustrated in Figure 4.

Acoustic analysis of an induction motor with viscoelastic bearing supports
The demand for silent bearing applications has resulted in the development of an effective damping layer between the outer ring of a rolling bearing and the surrounding structure. By means of numerical modeling using both FEM and BEM techniques an induction motor for household appliances is analyzed. A hybrid modeling approach combining measured structural velocities with a BEM formulation is u...
متن کاملValidation of a Rotor Dynamics Model with Viscoelastic Bearing Supports
The demand for silent bearing applications has started the research to asses the effect of a viscoelastic damping layer in the vicinity of the bearing, for example between the bearing outer ring and the housing. In order to predict the dynamic behaviour of rolling bearing applications a 3D nonlinear time dependent computational model is developed. Both the vibration generation and the vibration...
متن کاملVibration and Current Monitoring for Fault’s Diagnosis of Induction Motors
In generally, detection and diagnosis of incipient faults is desirable for product quality assurance and improved operational efficiency of induction motors running off the power supply mains. In this paper, the vibration and current of an induction motor are analyzed in order to obtain information for the detection of bearing faults. Significant vibration and current spectrum differences betwe...
متن کاملModelling and Test Verification of Suspension Optimal Damping Ratio for Electric Vehicles Considering Occupant-cushion and In-wheel Motor Effects
The damping ratio of chassis suspension is a key parameter for damping matching of in-wheel motor vehicles (IWMVs). Because the motor is attached to the driving wheel, the initial design method of the damping ratio for traditional cars is not entirely suitable for IWMVs. This paper proposes an innovative initial design method of the damping ratio for IWMVs. Firstly, a traveling vibration model ...
